What do we know and think of space exploration?

Обучающая: развивать умения систематизировать информацию, содержащуюся в текстах и умение кратко высказываться в связи с предложенной ситуацией

Воспитательная: воспитывать чувство патриотизма и гордости за свою Родину

Развивающая: учить выражать свое личное мнение по теме урока

What do we know and think of space exploration?

Today the Russian people celebrate Cosmonautics Day in commemoration of the first space flight in the world which was made by a Russian citizen. So on this lesson we`ll try to give our opinions about space exploration and answer some questions:

• What can реорle explore?
• What are people`s opinions about space exploration?
• What was our country`s contribution to space exploration?
• What can people achieve with the help of space in future?

1. Let`s begin. Watch the presentation. Try to remember the words:

The text for the presentation.

We, humans, live on the Earth. And our planet Earth is surrounded by space. The sky is what we see of space. There are billions of stars and probably billions of other planets moving through space. Our planet is moving through space too. It is the fifth largest of the nine main planets in the solar system and the third planet from the Sun. The Sun is one of many stars in the Milky Way Galaxy or just the Galaxy. It is like a huge disk. The Milky Way Galaxy is not the only galaxy in space. Sometimes people can see without a telescope the Andromeda galaxy and the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds.

So people can explore their own solar system or travel to other galaxies . But travelling to other galaxies is possible only in huge spaceships and it will take hundreds or thousands of years to travel on board. But when a suitable planet is found some people will begin new life there and then go to investigate the universe . Astronauts travel in spaceships to explore parts of space that are too far away for people to visit.

There are so many people in the world who are dying from diseases. And we spend billions of dollars on space research. This money should be used for medical research. Then, thousands of people won`t die.

The situation is serious. Our Earth is dying. By space exploration one day we may find another planet that we can live on. At the moment it seems impossible. But I believe that we`ll manage one day. We must learn to think not only about this generation but about future generation as well.

We are ruining our planet. We don`t take care of our rivers and seas, our forests and the air, animals and birds. We only think about money and our own comfort.

Would we agree to ruin other planets for our needs? Of course, we would. Because of space exploration, people will think that there is another planet for us in space.

Men began to dream of travelling to space long ago. The First story about space flight was written in the year 150. In the16th century, Galileo made the first telescope and looked through it at the moon and the planets, many new space stories appeared. In the 1865 Jules Verne`s famous novel «From the Earth to the Moon» was published. Another space-travel story is «The first men in the Moon» by H.G. Wells. But the dream of travelling into space became true only in the 20 th century. It happened in November 1957. The first animal in space was Laika, a dog from Russia. Laika travelled around the Earth for 7 days in the satellite Sputnik 2. The Russians were the first in the world to fly into outer space. On April 12 in 1961 the Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin goes into space and makes one orbit round the Earth in his spaceship Vostok-1. He orbited the Earth only once, staying in space for 108 minutes. This day went down in history of mankind as an outstanding achievement , opening the space era.

In the course of space exploration there have been lots of achievements of world science and technology. Valentina Tereshkova was the first woman-cosmonaut to make a space flight, A. A. Leonov achieved the first «space walk» in 1965, the first Soviet experimental station with four cosmonauts on board went into orbit. This period saw the launching of many earth satellites, numerous space laboratories. Among the achievements is the landing of the American astronauts Armstrong and Alidrin on the Moon on July 21 in 1969. The Soviet «Lunokhod», automatic orbital stations «Soyuz» and other space laboratories opened up a new period of space exploration . Russia is known to carry out many orbital manned flights involving over 80 cosmonauts, many of them having flown several times. It is well known that Russian cosmonauts hold the record for the longest time in space (L. Kizim has worked 375 days) and for continuous stay in space (V. Titov and M. Manarov – 365 days).

Since Yuri Gagarin’s flight, Russian space science and engineering have come a long way. According to space experts in the US and Europe Russia takes the lead in almost all space exploration. Russia has launched more than 2300 space vehicles designed to perform a variety of functions. Unmanned satellites have been of great significance in the exploration and peaceful use of outer space. They help us learn more about the relations between processes occurring on the sun and near the earth and study the structure of the upper atmosphere. These satellites are provided with scientific equipment for space navigation of civil aviation and ship, as well as exploration of the World Ocean, the earth’s surface and it’s natural resources.

When the 170 million horse power carrier-rocket called «Energia» was successfully tested in 1987, Russian has gone far ahead of the United States in the space competition. With the new «Energia» rocket it’s possible to put into orbit a 100 ton load (one must know that the first satellite carried 83.6 kg). That is enough to put into orbit components for a space station which could be a platform for a manned flight to Mars. Russian experts believe «Energia» to be able to take explorers to the Moon or bring back to the Earth satellites that went out of operation. In principle this makes it possible to build in orbit large complexes from separate units not tens of meters but kilometers across. Cosmonauts would live there permanently. And from these structures may be flights to other planets.

«К звездам…» (To the stars)

Направление деятельности: познавательно речевое.

Виды детской деятельности: игровая, коммуникативная,

1. Активизировать и закрепить ранее изученные лексические единицы по темам «Цвета» , «Планеты солнечной системы» , «Геометрические фигуры» , «Мое тело» , «Счет до 10» , «Транспорт», повторить формулы приветствия, похвалы, прощания.

2. Развивать навыки устной речи, память, внимание и мышление.

3. Воспитывать умение быть целеустремленным и чувство сострадания к окружающим.

Оборудование и материалы:

ПК с выходом в интернет, магнитофон, песенка « « Head and shoulders knees and toes », мультфильм « the solar system», материалы для аппликации «Планеты солнечной системы»

В лаборатории профессор Хэлпик и ученые мышки получают письмо на компьютере.

( Голосовое письмо) Здравствуйте, профессор Хэлпик!

Я – петушок, я — звездочет!

Веду планетам я разным счет.

Но нужен наставник, чтобы помочь мне в этом.

Ведь к звездам я полететь хочу!

Честно, честно — я не шучу

Собрал я команду своих друзей,

У них на счет полета много идей.

Прошу, в лабораторию нас пригласите

Профессор Хэлпик: Что мы ответим. Скорей приходите!

(Звонок в дверь, приехала команда друзей)

Профессор: Здравствуйте, проходите пожалуйста.

Петушок – звездочет: Да, профессор, мы звездный патруль и собрались к звездам. Кстати, мы можем с вами повторить английский язык ? А то это ведь международный язык, а вдруг ещё и межпланетный или межгалактический.

Профессор: Well, my friends. Английский язык помогут повторить мои помощники little mice. Are you ready?

Друзья хором: Yes, we аre ready!

Серая мышка: I am a grey mouse. He is a professor . He knows all about stars and planets.

Всех хороших так зовут

Очень добрым словом –Good!

— Good for you! — я вас хвалю.

Shame on you! – я вас стыжу

Белая Мышка : I am a little white mouse. I help professor very much.

А ещё сове т вам дам

Похвалить могу – Well done!

Петушок – звездочет: Am cock. I like to study solar system. I know all planets, stars and comet.

Профессор, поставьте флешку. Let’s sing the song!

Звучит песенка «I can name all the planet Can you name all the planet?

Петушок – звездочет: Я могу назвать все планеты. Mercury-Меркурий, Venus-Венера, Earth –Земля, Mars -Марс, Jupiter — Юпитер, Saturn -Cатурн, Uranus–Уран, Neptune — Нептун.

Белая Мышка : А на чем мы полетим, или поедим? Нам нужна ракета, она поможет в этом!

Серая мышка: Professor we have a rocket, но только макет!

Петушок – звездочет: Don’ t panic! Не переживайте, ракету мы построим. Вот мои друзья пилоты!

Собачка -первый пилот:

Мы – щенята, мы — пилоты

Не боимся мы работы

Нам работа по плечу, все на борт, я всех домчу!

I am a dog. My name is — Шарик Стрелкин.

Наши предки летали в космос. Мы знаем все о разных видах транспорта и умеем ими управлять.

Red light, red light

What do you say?

I say STOP, stop right away!

Yellow light, yellow light

I say WAIT , wait right away!

Green light, green light

What do you say?

(хором со всеми ребятами) I say GO , go right away!

Белая мышка: All right, только светофоров- traffic light в космосе, наверное, нет.

Cобачка — первый пилот: Нет светофоров, а мало ли какие у них там правила, все знания пригодятся

Собачка — второй пилот : I am a dog too. My name is — Барбос Белкин.

Сейчас мы вам покажем картинки и загадаем загадки о разных видах транспорта.

1. Путь дорога далека

Автомобиль назвали … (ждет ответ детей) car

2. Грузовик, от вас, не скрою

Называют нежно lorry .

3. Везет автобус быстро вас

Автобус называют … bus .

4. Поезда везут людей,

Поезд по-английски … train .

5. На мотоцикле едет зайка.

А мотоцикл … motorcycle .

6. По волнам он к нам спешит

Корабль по-английски будет ship .

7. С небес я вижу реки

Вот Волга, а там Рейн

Самолет иначе … plane .

8. У космонавтов в тюбиках обед

Они летают на ракете — rocket.

Серая мышка: Да, каких только видов транспорта не бывает. И космические корабли могут быть different forms!

Профессор: Да, разных форм и летают они с разной скоростью. Ещё нам нужно уметь рассчитать скорость полета.

Ёжик – математик: А в расчетах мы сильны, ведь мы — математики!

I am a fox. I can count. (рассказывает стих, показывает жесты)

Посчитать хочу я вам:
Вот одна овечка, one. (палец вверх)
К ней шагают по мосту
Сразу две овечки, two. (рука- мост, шагает 2 пальцами)
Сколько стало? Посмотри. (козырек, смотрит)
Три теперь овечки, three. (три пальца)
Вон еще недалеко. (показывает в даль)
Их уже — четыре, four.
К ним спешит овечка вплавь — (руками плывет)
Стало пять овечек, five.
Вдруг, откуда не возьмись (плечи подняла — удивилась)
Еще овечка — шесть их, six.
Это кто за стогом сена? (Руками стог сена, выглядывает из-за него)
Семь уже овечек, seven.
Стал считать я их скорей — (загибает пальцы)
Получилось восемь, eight.
Но на двор явились к нам (плечи подняла — удивилась)
Почему-то девять, nine.
Я считал их целый день, (вздыхает)
Оказалось десять, ten.
Ну а ты, хочу я знать,
Сможешь всех пересчитать? (выбирает любого посчитать)

Ёжик-математик: I’m a hedgehog. I love Math.
I can count. I know different geometric shapes.

(Показывает ребятам фигуры, называет на анг.яз)

Triangle – треугольник, Сircle — круг , Square – квадрат, Rectangle – прямоугольник, Ouval – овал, Star — звезда.

А теперь let’s play a game, давайте сыграем в игру. Я называю фигуру, а вам нужно её строить.

Let’s make a triangle . Let’s make an oval.

(Хвалит детей, когда они составляют геометрические фигуры)

Ёжик – математик: Well done everybody! Very good! А теперь усложним задачу, я раздам вам ленты и попрошу вас с их помощью построить фигуры. Fox, help me please! (две ленты дает лисе)

(Остальные три раздает котятам-поварятам и лягушкам). Let’s make a triangle.

Well done everybody! Very good! Very good triangle.

(Дает ленты собачкам) Let’s make Square. Good for you! Very good Square

Let’s make a Сircle. (все дети встают в круг)

Very good! Very good Сircle.

Серая мышка: Что-то я проголодался! I’m hungry! (гладит живот)

Профессор: I see cooks here.

Котенок-поваренок 1: Мы котята –поварята

Очень дружные ребята

Котенок-поваренок 2: Мы научим вас готовить

И в продуктах разбираться,

Только, чур, за вкуснотищу

Вам не стоит братцы драться!

Котенок-поваренок 3: С нами в полете не пропадешь

Вкусностей всяких на столе ты найдешь

Котенок-поваренок 1: Я знаю как угостить друга

Если к чаю ждешь ты друга,
К чаю нужен сахар — sugar,
И еще варенье — jam .
Это следует знать всем.
Надо щедрым быть с друзьями
И делиться медом — honey.
Дружбу только укрепит
Сладкая конфета — sweet.
Ни котлеты, ни сосиски
Не сравнить с печеньем — biscuit.
Даже сытый человек
Съест пирожное — cake
Наслажденьем будет райским
Съесть мороженое — ice-cream.
Это вам не бутерброд.

Котенок-поваренок 2: Как готовить щи

Чтоб отведать вкусных щей,
Надо много овощей.
Cabbage нам нужна, капуста.
С нею будет очень вкусно.
И нужна по крайней мере
Хоть одна морковка, carrot
Мы, конечно, в щи добавим
Лука репчатого, onion.
И potato , картошку.
Щи пусть покипят немножко.
Напоследок — соли, salt Щи готовы. Ставь на стол.

Котенок-поваренок 3: Bon Appetit!

Только много объедаться не нужно. Знал я тут одного Мистера, он все время ел все подряд, а потом жаловался, что у него живот болит!

(читает стихотворение про Робина Бобина)

Robin the Bobin, the big- belliеd Ben

He ate more meat than foursсore men;

He ate a cow, he ate a calf,

He ate a butcher and a half

He ate a church, he ate a steeple.

He ate a priest and all the people.

Вам не стоит объедаться

Ты гляди и молча слушай:

Чтобы быть для всех примером,
Волосы расчешем, hair.

Если чистишь зубы, teeth

Лягушка 1: Да, и при любой погоде

Закаляем тело … body !

Лягушка 2: Становитесь на веселую зарядку! Танцуют под песенку « Head and shoulders knees and toes »:

Лягушка 1 : Да мы размяли our body !! У нас то, красивые eyes ( показывает на глаза ), ears — уши, nose — нос, feet- ноги), hands -руки. А вот какие они там, жители других планет?

Белая мышка : Да, какие они жители других планет? Вдруг какие-нибудь strange –необычные?!

Петушок: Может быть обычные, а может быть какие-нибудь скрюченные.

Профессор: Может быть и необычные. Let’s watch on the solar system. А давайте ёще раз посмотрим на планеты солнечной системы.

Профессор: По-моему, вы готовы к полету. И напоследок, я хотел бы сказать. Вот вы стремились к звездам. А вы сами такие молодцы, вы сами маленькие звезды!
